SYSTEKTUM GmbH has been developing highly-sensitive and fast optical instruments for industrial use, with a particular focus on on-line process control, since 1999.
Correspondingly, the particular skills of the company, founded in 1999 in the environment of scientific laser technology of the University of Kiel, are in the field of developing and adapting specific light sources and detectors, as well as the associated evaluation electronics. These are usually based on miniaturised laser light sources, known as "microchip lasers”, developed by the company themselves.
Depending on the specific tasks, existing technologies are adapted to fit the demands. Special light sources illuminate the substances or surfaces to be evaluated. Appropriate detectors are used to detect the optical signal and fast electronics select the useful signal.
Coating measurement, cleanliness of machined surfaces, error detection and the measurement of even the lowest concentrations are implemented in real-time measurement processes.
