Position duties:
- Technical expert for the development of innovative surfactants
- Supervision of surfactant synthesis laboratories at Clariant Innovation Center
- Representative of the R&D Center Head located in Frankfurt
- Support the R&D Center in developing and implementing technology strategy
- Steering of external collaborations with universities, institutes and start-up companies
- Internal and external presentations and papers on conferences, trade shows and technical symposia
- Project management according Clariant’s idea-to-market process
- Protection of know-how via patent applications, in collaboration with the patent department
- Guide and advance scientists in technical skills, working methods and personal performance
- Foster creativity and motivation of co-workers
- Search and propose new projects or directions, think out of the box
Requirements:
- PhD in Organic Chemistry, preferably with PostDoc experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the chemical development of surfactants
- In-depth knowledge within the triangle of physics, chemistry and applications
- Strong experience in steering external cooperations
- Strong innovation and project management skills
- Very good command of English, additional German language skills are welcome
- Excellent teamplayer with outstanding communication skills
