Position duties:
- Leading of R&D projects for the development of oxidation catalysts
- Planning, supervision and assessment of bench- and pilot-scale-experiments for preparation and testing of catalysts
- Close interaction (cooperation/coordination) with sales and production
- Coordination of interdisciplinary, supraregional teams
- Instigation and assessment of patent and literature searches
- Transfer of optimized synthesis recipes into production
- Technical customer support of sales managers
- Leading a team of laboratory assistants and technicians
- Coordination of cooperations with external partner institutions
Requirements:
- PhD in physical or technical chemistry, chemical engineering or chemical process technology, focus in heterogeneous catalysis preferred
- Experience in project management
- Skills in preparation of solid catalysts with emphasis on inorganic solids’ synthesis
- Knowledge in inorganic solid state and surface chemistry, in physico-chemical catalyst characterisation and in determination of structure-activity-relationships
- Knowledge in catalysts’ application for partial oxidations (reaction kinetics, high-throughput methods/data mining)
