Core binding factor

Core binding factors (CBFs) comprise a group of heterodimeric transcription factors.

They are composed of:

  • a non-DNA-binding CBFβ chain (CBFB)
  • a DNA-binding CBFα chain (RUNX1, RUNX2, RUNX3)
