Dow Announces Global Price Increase for Vinyl Acetate Monomers effective September 1st

26 Aug 2009 - The Dow Chemical Company announced that it will increase the off schedule price in all regions for Vinyl Acetate Monomer effective September 1, 2009, or as contracts allow. The increase amounts by region are noted below:
 
North America: US$66 per MT
 
Latin America: US$50 per MT
 
Middle East & Africa: US$50 per MT
 
Asia Pacific: US$50 per MT
 
Europe: 66 € per MT
 
This increase is necessitated by the cost escalation of raw materials, particularly ethylene and methanol, key for the production of Vinyl Acetate Monomer.
